SAN FRANCISCO — One Warriors mantra has become cliché, though it’s always pertinent come playoff time: Stay ready. A player collecting dust on the bench could be tapped any minute to play in a must-win moment. That happened to Moses Moody during Game 2 of the Western Conference finals last year. His team faced a double-digit deficit at the half and the coaching staff had a twist in mind, calling upon the rookie to play his first big playoff minutes.Moody recorded only two points and one assist, but he made a defensive impact in 10 fourth-quarter minutes through smart positioning, quick reads and a key deflection. The Warriors won Moody’s minutes by eight points and took a commanding 2-0 series lead, staying on track for a quick series to make the NBA Finals.Because of moments like that series, the Warriors felt comfortable letting Damion Lee walk with Moody stepping up. A year later, the Warriors are back in the playoffs and Moody is back where he was before —...San Francisco company relocates its HQ to Denver

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) -- On the steps of the Alameda County courthouse in Oakland this week, protesters chanted, "Recall Price! Recall Price!""I don’t know how anyone could say I’ve been too lenient, I’ve only been here 75 days," District Attorney Pamela Price told KRON4. During her first three months in office, red flags have been raised by veteran prosecutors, crime victims' families, and a judge over concerns that violent criminals could be let off the hook with Price in charge.Alameda County voters elected Price, a progressive civil rights attorney, to replace longtime district attorney Nancy O'Malley last year. Price ran on a platform proclaiming "the status quo must go," and pledged to pursue restorative justice as alternatives to lengthy prison sentences. Price was elected just months after another champion of criminal justice reform, Chesa Boudin, was booted by voters across the Bay. San Franciscans recalled Boudin, a former public defender, for being "soft on crime" a...Man pleads not guilty in anti-abortion office firebombing

LINCOLN, Neb. While lawmakers have managed to advance a number of bills, it had not passed a single bill by Wednesday, which marked the 60th day of this year’s 90-day session.Lawmakers entered the debate Thursday already raw from a contentious all-day showdown Wednesday over a bill that would greatly restrict abortion access in the state.
